Nyusha Samiei is a partner and family law lawyer who guides clients through difficult family transitions with clarity, compassion, and strategic focus. Her practice includes parenting arrangements, protection orders, property division, child and spousal support, separation agreements, and negotiated resolution.
After studying at the London School of Economics and Columbia University, Nyusha returned to Canada to complete her law degree. She regularly appears before the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Provincial Court of British Columbia.
Nyusha is fluent in Persian and French and is committed to meaningful access to justice. Her work includes representing clients through Legal Aid BC, and she is a member of the Association of Legal Aid Lawyers.
Her practice is informed by feminist lawyering and trauma-informed advocacy, with close attention to safety, power dynamics, financial reality, and the long-term effect of legal process. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers BC and contributes to the Iranian-Canadian legal community.
Outside her practice, Nyusha enjoys poetry, staying active, and spending time with her cats, family, and friends.
